Farmhouse signs are the home dec trend right now, and sometimes a little pricey. So why not try this easy DIY project. Plus, if you want to personalize it, this project is perfect! It's great for outdoors, but would also look great inside or on the front door.
Here's how to make yours:
Gather your supplies:
Unfinished Wood Sign
Galvanized Tin Letter
12" Heavy Twine
2 Clothespins
White Acrylic Paint
Sea Sponge
Paper Plate
Aleene's Turbo Tacky Glue
Step #1 - Pour a puddle of paint onto paper plate. Dampen sea sponge. Dab sponge into plate and then apply paint to unfinished wood sign. Continue until entire sign has a mottled look. Let dry.
Step#2 - Attach clothespins to the top of the galvanized tin letter. Apply Aleene's Turbo Tacky Glue to backs of clothespins and glue to the inside of the sign.
Step #3 - Tie ends of heavy twine into knots. Attach to clothespins to complete. Let glue dry completely before hanging the sign.
