Triple tassel bracelet

This DIY jewelry project started out with an impulse purchase at Michaels.  I saw the three little arrow charms and just had to have them!  The next step was to decide how to turn them into a cute bracelet, so I went to my yarn stash for inspiration.

Mini Tassel Maker tool

I grabbed my Mini PattieWack™ Tassel Maker and found yarn that matched the threads that were wound around the arrow charms.

Wind 3 tassels

The Mini PattieWack™ Tassel Maker has 5 steps for different sizes of tassels, and I thought it would be fun to make 3 at the same time.  First, you wind embroidery floss 15 times around the tool.  Next, I opened large jump rings, slipped lobster claws on the rings, and attached them to the tops of each tassel, being careful to grab every strand of floss and closing the jump rings with pliers.

Add charms to tassles

tie charms to bind tassels

To add the charms, I tied them onto the neck of each tassel and knotted the tightly inside the slot n the PattieWack Mini Tassel Maker.

Cut tassels

At that point the tassels are done, and simply have to be cut at the bottoms with scissors.

Now you can slide the tassels off the tool by flexing the nose of the tassel tool very slightly.

attach jewelry findings to tassels

Voila! Now there are three tassels with arrow charms with lobster claws.  You can attach them to anything.... a bracelet, necklace, keychain, notebook or anything else.
